ii. Semur Ikan Pedas
Getting ones driver's license for the first time is a thrilling achievement. It opens a lot of possibilities and allows one the ability to venture much further. In short the ability to travel seem limitless (provided one has a car of course!)
However, in the midst of that happiness and thrill of being able to legally drive, comes the responsibility of being a careful and courteous driver. Because, where being a driver is concerned, one can never be too careful.
At the time this entry is written, it has just come to my attention about another auto accident involving yet another Lower Six student. Before the fasting month (if I am not mistaken) one of the female students was involved in a motorcycle accident. She escaped unscathed. One day before Eid, a male student (from the same class as the female student) was involved in another motorcycle accident. This time involving a stray cow (written in a previous entry!) The boy was hospitalized but escaped with some scratches (it gets more serious, however!)
Today another male student was involved in an accident. This time an auto accident, along with two other Lower Six students, who escaped unscathed. The male student however sustained a broken rib and a broken arm.
I am sure that these students (and others) have every intention to be safe and careful drivers. The only thing is, they were unfortunate enough to be in that situation. So, to the other students (and non-students also!) be careful when driving!
