After almost three months sweating it out (due to the heat!) in the new (but old) Pre-U Teachers' Common room and practically begging the administration for air-con units, last week we finally got air-conditioners installed in the room.
In reality, the air-con units that were installed are not new at all. Two are actually old ones taken from the previous Pre-U Teachers Common Room (which were old to begin with!) and another one (yes! three were installed!) is actually a broken one left behind by the Primary School teachers, which was serviced (and repaired!)
I feel that a new one (with a bigger horse power) could have been bought in place of the three recycled and rundown units. A new one would run more efficiently and would have cost the same as installing the three! If I had the choice, I would have installed a new one!
But, I guess beggars can't be choosers!
