iii. Beautiful School
It's been six months since I left my previous working place and I really did not expect any kind of ties with any of the administrations over there any more. However, I was pleasantly surprised when my daughter came back from school one day and handed me the invitation; Majlis Iftaar SMKTAR.
The thing that got me excited was the prospect of meeting my old friends and catching up with old times. When I got to the premise where the Iftaar took place, I was given the programme for the night. Just reading through the programme made me feel exhausted and sucked away all my mood to socialise; which was a good thing.
The programme was scheduled to last way past 10 p.m. and my right knee did not allow me to sit cross-legged on the floor for that long. So, my wife and I came to an agreement to 'pass the baton' as it were, when the time reached 8 o'clock, which meant that I attended the first half of the do, and my wife the second half.
Anyway, I would like to express my appreciation to the school for taking the time to invite me together for the Iftaar. Thanks once again.
