A Visit to the East Coast

Star Q

It was supposed to be a trip to attend one of SMKTAR's teacher's wedding in Bachok, Kelantan.  But there was a slight lack of response from the teachers.  Not really surprising though since it is the holidays, and most of the teachers had already made earlier plans with their own families.

However, that worked out positively because it actually gave a chance for quite a number of our Pre-U students to join the trip to the east coast.  The three-day-two-night trip to Kelantan and Terengganu, which included the Principal, the school's canteen operator and her extended families, the ERT GC and Penyelaras PPKI, was also joined by a Pre-U staff, En. Rozy Ramli.

The itinerary was very packed to say the least.  The second day programme included breakfast at Pn Mazliani's house in Pasir Mas before heading off to Rantau Panjang for some retail therapy.  Then it we went down to Bachok for Ustaz Ilyah's wedding reception before heading to Kampung tok Jiring in Terengganu to spend the night at As-Salam Homestay.

The next morning, we were off to Manir to have breakfast at Ustazah Khairulhana's house who prepared a feast for us.  Then it was off for another retail therapy at Pasar Payang in Kuala Terengganu before heading home with two stop-overs; one for dinner the other to buy Keropok Lekor and Sata.

Personally it was a tiring trip for someone my age.  Nevertheless, the visit to our colleagues real homes in the east coast made the trip well worth the aching back endured during the long journey.  To these people and the people who joined the trip, thank you.  Alhamdulillah.
