ii. Carrot Pilaf
I have been a committee member of the school magazine many times prior to this, but have never been invited to an event honoring the committee. Thus it was with much pride and a huge heart that I and all the other committee members of the school magazine attended this particular event which was held recently (16th January 2013, 1.30 p.m.)
The event which was organized by Mr. Lim Siong Fui, our school counselor, included a delicious lunch. Apart from that, all the members were presented with a piece of batik cloth each. We, the 2012 committee who have also been appointed as the 2013 committee, were encouraged to turn the batik cloth into shirts or blouses to be worn whenever the committee has it's meeting.
As the secretary of the committee for 2012, it was indeed an honor to have been appointed, but to be appointed a second time is a double challenge.
Thank you once again to the organizer of the event. Here's hopping that we the school magazine committee for 2013 will be able to present the school with a magazine that is worth keeping for many years to come.
