This year, the Pre-U students of SMKTAR has been given a free hand (well, almost!) at running the show to celebrate Teachers Day. There was not much buzz about the organizing of the big day amongst the students because I (and most of the other teachers, as well!) expected things would have started at least a month before.
But, credit should be given where it is due, I always say; and the Pre-U students deserve a round of applause (maybe not all of them!) for all their hard work! Of course, they have the teachers to thank as well, for starting the ball rolling.
I noticed that things got a little busy only a few days before the actual day. Programme books were created, backdrop was placed, ribbons were tied and well, everything looked good on paper. The proof of the pudding is in the tasting, they (and I) always say; and so, we shall see the outcome of this few days of planning.
For those who have put in the hard work to make this day for the teachers, don't be disheartened by complaints by a few dissatisfied individuals. The main thing is, all of you (almost!) have done your best!
